Extended working hours at Atlas Road site

We are continuing to prepare the Atlas Road site ready to build the Atlas Road Logistics Tunnel and to install the conveyor system. As part of these works, some activities require work beyond our core working hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Ongoing until the 10 July 2022, in agreement with Ealing Council, we are permitted to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week to carry out core drilling around the perimeter of the tunnel eye at the end of the Atlas Road launch box as shown on the following page. Please note that this does not mean will we be working constantly throughout this period. The tunnel eye is situated in the launch box where the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) will be launched later this year.

What to expect
As these works will be taking place withing the launch box area, the walls and depth of the box should act as a natural noise barrier and reduce the level of noise from these works. You may also notice additional light on site to carry out the work safely during the night.
We will continue to monitor our working methods to ensure that we are working efficiently, safely and to keep any disruption to a minimum.
