What we are doing
Update: road closure on Chase Road
In April 2022, we wrote to you about utility works being carried out on Chase Road from 29 April to early October 2022. Due to unexpected ground conditions, utility services found below ground, these works will continue until mid-November 2022.
To carry out the works as quickly and safely as possible, we have agreed with Ealing Council that works can take place up to 24 hours a day on Mondays to Fridays and between 8am to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We may not be working at all times during the above.
Changes to traffic management on Chase Road on weekends during September 2022
Due to the location of UKPN utilities under the road surface, we need to amend our current traffic management on Chase Road to allow for UKPN to complete their works. These works will need to be carried out overnight. We will install a temporary road closure on Chase Road outside the access gate to Sunbeam Road and will be carrying out works at the following times:
– From 6pm to 6am on Thursday 22 September
– From 6pm on Friday 23 September to 6am on Monday 26 September
To carry out the works as quickly and safely as possible, we have agreed with Ealing Council that works can take place up to 24 hours a day. To allow access for businesses during this time, we will temporarily open the existing road closure on Chase Road between Sunbeam Road and the junction of Victoria Road. You can view a map showing the location of these works on the following page.
Existing road closure reinstated until November 2022
From Monday 26 September 2022, the previous road closure on Chase Road between Sunbeam Road and the junction with Victoria Road will be reinstated. As explained on the previous page, these works are now expected to be completed by mid-November 2022. During the remaining works:
• Chase Road will remain closed to traffic in both directions
• Bus route 440 will remain on diversion
• Parking bay suspensions will remain in place near the works area
We will continue to work 24 hours a day on Mondays to Fridays and between 6am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We may not be working at all times during the above. This was agreed with Ealing Council in April 2022.
