What we are doing

Works planned on Hanger Lane Roundabout
During two weekends in January 2023, we will be carrying out a series of overnight ground investigations on the Hanger Lane Roundabout. The ground investigations will take place 24 hours a day from 10pm on Friday to 5am on Monday, this has been agreed with Ealing Council and TFL.

The ground investigations will consist of digging a temporary trench to confirm the location of utilities and to determine the structural detail of the bridge below the road and footpath surface. The investigations will help us to understand and aid the design of the new railway and the best ways to protect or divert any utilities during construction. We will be working as efficiently as possible whilst keeping our work areas safe and tidy.

How this might affect you
To ensure the safety of the public and our staff, temporary changes will be in place on the Hanger Lane Roundabout.

Phase one – between 6 and 9 January 2023, we will have a temporary footpath and lane closure on the Western side of the Hanger Lane Gyratory, outside the London Underground Tube Station.

Phase two – between 13 and 16 January 2023, we will have temporary lane closure on the Western side of the Hanger Lane Gyratory, outside the London Underground Tube Station.

The temporary traffic management will be in place for the full duration of these works. Pedestrian access will be maintained by using concrete blocks to allow a safe walkway around our site. You can view the traffic management phases on the following pages.

Your utility services will not be affected during these works.
