What we are doing
As we continue with the work at Old Oak Common Station, we are upgrading power cables to modernise the network ahead of the opening of the station. As part of the renewal, we need to install new ducts underneath the railway bridge and along the south of Wells House Road to protect the cables. We are working with utility companies to update their cables and pipes, which will mean less disruption to residents and businesses in the future.
What to expect
The impact on residents will be minimal, but you might see some different type of work on our site from the back of your property.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
