What we are doing
We need to protect and divert utility services beneath Parkway junction and in the surrounding area before we begin tunnelling.
From February to August, we will carry out utility works on the sewers, water mains and power cables on Parkway, Albert Street and Delancey Street.
In autumn 2026, we will return to Parkway to complete protective works to the Cadent Gas main.
We will complete these works in phases in several different locations.
- 16 February to 6 March – Parkway trail holes
- February and April – Overnight CCTV survey in February (date TBC), Potential to return in April to install sewer lining
- 16 February to May – UKPN cable route on Parkway and Delancey Street
- 20 May to June – Water mains works on Albert Street
- 23 June to August – Water mains works on Parkway
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
