What we are doing
Staff parking during rail strikes – 20 to 26 June
From 20 to 26 June, we will use the Vehicle Holding Area for staff parking. This will be a temporary measure, to enable our team to commute to work during the planned rail strikes.
We will use the Vehicle Holding Area 24 hours a day, from 20 to 26 June, to support workers on various shift patterns. We will also continue to use the vehicle holding area to keep lorries off the road until we are ready to receive them onsite.
For the safety and convenience of other road users, we will start receiving deliveries on site from 6am to reduce the number of construction vehicles on local roads during peak traffic.
Residents may notice increased traffic coming in and out of the vehicle holding area during this period.
We are sorry for any disruption this may cause.
Please see notification ‘Staff parking in VHA during rail strikes – 20-26 June‘ below.
Vehicle Holding Area to receive lorries from 7.30am
Please be informed that Vehicle Holding Area on Prince Albert Road opens at 7.30am each morning, to prevent construction vehicles parking on local streets while they wait to enter site.
Standard operating hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm and Saturday 7.30am to 1pm.
Please see the details in the ‘Vehicle Holding Area operating hours‘ notification below.
