What we are doing

Weekend and extended hours work near Coniston and Cartmel – March

We are currently constructing a large retaining wall in front of Regent’s Park estate. This wall, which extends from Granby Terrace to Hampstead Road, will form the side of the new HS2 railway cutting.

We will complete a concrete pour on 28 March during our normal working hours. Ahead of this, we will carry out preparatory works to create the formwork into which the concrete will be poured. We will carry out these works on Saturdays in March from 8am to 5pm. You may notice periods of increased noise while we carry out this work. We will aim to complete noisy works between 8am and 1pm and monitor noise levels closely to ensure we are working within the approved limits.

We are sorry for any disruption this work might cause.

Weekend and extended hours work next to Granby Terrace bridge

We are currently undertaking preparatory works for the extension of Granby Terrace bridge. Throughout March, we will work extended hours on Saturdays from 8am to 4pm. We will aim to complete all noisy works between 8am and 1pm and will monitor noise levels closely to ensure we are working within the approved limits.

On Saturday 6 April and Saturday 13 April, we will work between 9pm and 9am to create framework and pour the concrete to construct the walls which will support the new bridge. For safety, we can only carry out this work when the tracks are not in use.

Please be aware that we will carry out 24/7 works on the bridge over Easter weekend – 29 March to 2 April, please see the link to the previous notification.

You may notice periods of increased noise while we carry out this work. We will monitor noise levels closely to ensure we are working within the approved limits.

We apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause.

Ongoing monitoring at track-level within the Euston Approaches
We carry out regular surveys and monitoring of the bridges and structures at track-level within the railway cutting, to inform and assess the impact of our works.

For safety, due to the location of these structures beside, above and below the railway tracks, we can only carry out these surveys when the tracks are not in use. This means we frequently carry out surveys during weekends and overnight shifts. We will continue to carry out these surveys until the end of the project. These surveys are quiet, and we do not expect residents to notice.

Weekend and extended hours site maintenance

Our site, offices and equipment require regular planned and unplanned maintenance. We frequently carry out maintenance work during extended hours when the office or worksite is not in use, and we can safely disconnect utilities or lift large equipment. This work is generally quiet, and we don’t expect neighbors to notice.

We also carry out regular maintenance to our site hoarding once a month, on a Saturday night. We will carry out this work overnight on 23 to 24 March. We will temporarily close the northbound lane on Hampstead Road and maintain two-way traffic in the southbound lane using temporary traffic lights. You may notice brief periods of noise as we clean the road and the hoarding.

We apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause
