HS2 Works Notification: Wendover Bypass lane closure, and Ellesborough Road closure

What we are doing

We will be carrying out a utility survey on Ellesborough Road in preparation for the road diversion, which is due to be operational in February 2023. This will require us to close the road on 11 January.

To reduce the number of deliveries to our sites and maintain a sustainable source of concrete for our works, we have set up our own concrete batching plant at our Wendover Green Tunnel site. These works are to connect the plant to a mains power supply.

In preparation for these works we will need to carry out a survey of the ground to check for existing buried utility services in the area.

We will be closing a lane and operating two-way traffic lights on Wendover Bypass to complete these survey works. There will also be a road closure on the Wendover Bypass in February to allow us to carry out these power connection works; details will be communicated in due course.

Works will take place:
• Ellesborough Road closure – Wednesday, January 11
• Wendover Bypass lane closure – Thursday January 12
