What we are doing

The programme of utility works to the west side of Euston Station includes the laying of electrical power connection ducts and BT telecommunication,
Virgin Media and Vodafone ducts via North Gower Street across Euston Road, Gower Street and Gower Place finishing at Gordon Street.

We also need to carry out sewer construction, diversion and disconnection works in number of streets including Stephenson Way, Euston Street, Regnart Buildings, Drummond Street and Cobourg Street.

Further detail can be found below:

  • Gower Street, Gower Place, Gordon Street and Euston Road – The westbound slip road of Euston Road will be reopened on 7 June. Works on Gower Place and Gordon Street will be complete by 25 July. More information can be found on the Euston West Utilities May update below.
  • Regnart Buildings – the road is closed from early November to February 2021. Sewer lining works to follow on until April 2021.
  • Stephenson Way – a section of the road at the end furthest from North Gower Street is closed to vehicles until February 2021. Sewer lining works to follow on until April 2021.
  • Drummond Street – roadworks between North Gower Street and Cobourg Street until summer 2021:
    – BT Openreach works to continue in the section between North Gower Street and Charles Place from 22 February until late May.
    – Sewer manhole construction works between Charles Place and Cobourg Street from week commencing 22 March until end May.
    – One way traffic loop follows North Gower Street to Euston Street, to Cobourg Street and across to Starcross Street for standard vehicles.  Pedestrian access will be maintained.
