Mystery Team Puzzles

Overview:
In this activity pupils choose from a selection of envelopes, which each contain a mystery activity. These short activities are designed to help students to develop their Essential Skills and include:
- Secret design
- Build the tower
- Run the rails
- Think outside the square
- Stick together
- Drop the marble
Learning objectives:
Students will learn to:
- Apply their Essential Skills of speaking, listening, teamwork, creativity and problem solving to complete a challenge.
- Evaluate which skills were most important in each challenge.
Students will use the Essential Skills of speaking, listening, creativity, problem solving and teamwork.
Delivery notes:
- This activity could take from 10 to 60 minutes, depending on how many challenges pupils are asked to complete.
- Some challenges need minimal equipment, for example a piece of paper. Other challenges need everyday materials such as paper cups, cardboard tubes and egg boxes.
