Alan Morris joined HS2 Ltd in 2025 as Construction Delivery Director. 

Alan is responsible for all civils works between Birmingham and London, including tunnels, viaducts, cuttings and embankments, as well as stations. He is also responsible for utilities and logistics for the project. 

Alan draws on more than 38 years of experience building complex heavy civil engineering projects. Most of this has been in new-build railway projects from design through to operations. 

Before joining HS2 Ltd, Alan was construction director for several successfully completed railway projects – metros, interurban, freight and high speed – in the Middle East, South East Asia and Australia. 

Alan has a degree in civil engineering and is a chartered civil engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
