What we are doing
We are continuing to upgrade power cables to modernise the network ahead of the opening of the station and guarantee its long-term stability. We will be installing new ducts underneath the railway bridge and along the south of Wells House Road and under Old Oak Common Lane to protect the cables. These works will start Monday 26 October until approximately Saturday 5 December. Works will be 24 hours a day, six days a week with Sunday as the non-working day.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
