What we are doing
We wrote to you earlier this year about our work to protect the Grade II Listed Camden Engine Winding Vaults. We have completed installation of monitoring equipment in the vaults.
From August to December 2026, we will install scaffolding within the vaults for maintenance work. We will deliver the scaffolding parts to the site by lorry, between 11pm and 5am, on Saturday nights, when trains are not using the tracks. The lorries will travel along the Network Rail access road between the vaults’ entrance and Juniper Crescent.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
