What we are doing
We are pleased to say, following community feedback, we now have agreement with Transport for London to create a right turn out of our Hampstead Road worksite gate. The right turn means lorries can avoid using Harrington Square as a turning loop to head south to Euston Road. To create this right turn, we will remove the central reservation Hampstead Road in three phases.
SCS works to remove Hampstead Road central reserve – 2 July to 30 August
- Northbound lane will remain closed until 30 August due to the TW repair works
- Traffic diversion to the southbound lane with two-way traffic lights.
- Southbound bus lane and bus stop W suspended.
- Junction of Varndell Street and Hampstead Road is closed until 12 August due to the sewer pipeline installation works carried out by CSjv
- From 12 August Varndell Street will be access only from Hampstead Road.
