What we are doing
Since April 2026, we have been carrying out utility relocation and diversion works along Eversholt Street which is required to support future construction and ensure existing services are safely maintained. To facilitate this, we are installing new pipework and are excavating a series of utility connection points along Eversholt Street. These will act as access and connection locations for new and diverted utilities.
The initial phase of works was due to be completed by the end of June 2026, however, there has been a programme delay which extends our work programme to late September 2026.
Below sets out the revised programme for works on Eversholt Street.
- Phase One (current) Eversholt Street, opposite Lancing Street and Doric Way Up to 4 weeks
- Phase Two Eversholt Street, adjacent to Lancing Street Up to 4 weeks
- Phase Three Eversholt Street, adjacent to Doric Way Up to 4 weeks
Please note that changes to the programme may occur and we will continue communicate changes and continue to write to you with further updates as the programme develops.
During all phases, there will be no access to Euston Road from Eversholt Street. Eversholt Street will be closed to southbound traffic, two-way temporary traffic lights, pedestrian footpath diversions with bus stop suspensions please plan ahead using the TfL Journey Planner or the TfL Go app and check before you travel by visiting the TfL Status updates page. To find alternative bus stops please visit: www.tfl.gov.uk/maps/bus
We recognise that construction activity can be disruptive for those who live and work nearby. Due to the nature of these works, there may be periods of increased noise, particularly during excavation and concrete activities. While some disruption is unavoidable, the works will be managed within local worksites to help minimise impacts on the surrounding area. Please be assured that we are taking all reasonable steps to reduce noise and inconvenience wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties and Euston Station will be maintained throughout.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
