What we are doing
Update 20/05/26: The Harvil Road closure between 23 and 24 May is postponed. We will update on new dates in due course.
We planned to close Harvil Road between Saturday 23 May 10pm to 5am and Sunday 24 May 10pm to 5am to complete surveys and testing on the bridge. This work is now postponed. We will update you on new dates in due course.
Once the new dates agreed, to do this safely, we will need to install scaffolding on the underside of the bridge and use a crane to complete the work. These works need to be carried out overnight while the tracks below are not in use.
Vehicles will be diverted along Harvil Road, Moorhall Road, Denham Avenue, A40 and B467 Swakeleys Road.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
