What we are doing
Varndell Street Gas Works – 27 September to 17 November 2021
- CSJV will carry out gas connection works on Varndell Street between the junctions at Harrington Street and
Hampstead Road. - These works will be completed in three phases:
- Phase 1: 27 September to 8 October, road closed between Hampstead Road and Harrington Street for excavation works
- Phase 2: 11 to 15 October, road closure will include closure of the junction of Varndell Street and Harrington Street
- Phase 3: 18 October to 12 November, road remain closed for gas pipe installation and connection works.
- Phase 4: 14 November to 17 November, Closure on Varndell street & and the lights on Hampstead road for carriageway remedial works, no footways will be closed
- Junction with Hampstead Road will be closed throughout the works
- Access to Regents Park Estate will be maintained via Robert Street and Stanhope Street.
- Footways will remain open with pedestrian and traffic diversion signs will be in place.
- Refuse collection services in each phase will be maintained at all times.
