Update: Headhouse works at West Ruislip Portal

From April to December 2026, we will continue to construct the headhouse and porous portal at our West Ruislip Portal site. We previously informed you about our work to construct the porous portal and headhouse at our West Ruislip Portal site. We are continuing with the following activities until December 2026:

• Formwork and steel fixing (24/6)
• Concrete placing and finishing works (core hours)
• Welding (core hours)
• Hydro scabbling (as required)

You will begin to see the top of the headhouse over our hoarding and workers may be visible. There will be periods of noise while we carry out this work. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
