What we are doing
Installation of the first of four tower cranes on site.
What to expect
We will put the tower cranes together on site using a mobile crane. HGVs will deliver the components of the crane during normal working hours and on Sunday (8am – 6pm) They will arrive on site on Friday, and we will assemble over the weekend. Once we complete the assembly of the tower crane, we will dismantle and remove the mobile crane from site.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
