What we are doing
We are reinstating two lampposts which were temporarily removed during our utility works in the area. There will be a lane and footpath closure on College Crescent on the following dates:
- 26 and 27 June 2026 – we will excavate the two locations on the footpath where the lampposts will be reinstated.
- 1 and 2 July 2026 – overnight, we will install the two lampposts and concrete around the area.
- 3 and 4 July 2026 – we will restore the footpath surface.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
