What we are doing

I want to update you on what is happening on Old Oak Common Lane for the next few months as part of our ongoing work to support the construction of HS2.

Our works will continue throughout October, November and December, including some night-time and weekend working. We will also be carrying out works over the Christmas period, between 24 and 31 December, when some activities will take place 24 hours a day. Further details of the locations, dates and times of these works are provided in the table.

Work to connect the Great Western Main Line with a new Old Oak Common station
Network Rail is working in partnership with HS2 to prepare the existing railway for the construction of HS2. This involves realigning sections of track, overhead wires, signalling and other vital rail systems to connect the Great Western Main Line railway to a new station being built by HS2 at Old Oak Common. Our work to prepare and move parts of the railway for HS2 will continue over several years.

When and where are we working?
On the other side of this letter is a map along with the updated dates and times of what we are doing. The nature of our work means we will regularly move up and down the railway which means we will not be working next to individual properties constantly. Because of the nature of the work, we may need to use floodlights during our nighttime working.
