A full road closure will be in place from 7am on Monday 6 June to 8pm on Sunday 5 July 2026.
What we are doing
The works will involve completing road tie in activities for the Gilson Road temporary alignment, alongside associated utility diversions and connection works.
What to expect
• Access to residents will be maintained throughout the closure
• A clearly signed diversion route
• Low level of noise from our machinery
• Pedestrian and cycle access maintained throughout
• Bus routes diverted accordingly
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
