A full road closure will be in place from 8pm on Wednesday 26 August to 6am on Thursday 10 September 2026.
What we are doing
The works will involve completing utility diversions and connections as part of the Gilson Road new realignment works. Our works team will be working in the carriageway to access the relevant services.
What to expect
• Access to residents will be maintained throughout the closure
• A clearly signed diversion route
• Low level of noise from our machinery
• Pedestrian and cycle access maintained throughout
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
