What we are doing
Construction works to the top of the new bridge to form the A43 highway. The works are taking place during both the daytime and at night.
- Daytime work will consist of verge and central reservation works, safety barrier installation and drainage.
- Nighttime work involves carriageway construction and laying tarmac.
Location
A43, one kilometre north of Brackley at the interface with the HS2 line.
Duration
Ongoing until July 2026.
What to expect
The A43 will remain open whilst we carry out these works and the construction activities will create some noise. Please note we will keep nighttime noise levels to a minimum. However, it could still be noticeable at times.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
