What we are doing
We will be cutting back overgrown vegetation, including hedges and weeds. This is to enable the installation of a low voltage cable on Ellesborough Road as part of the reinstatement of the road.
A water pressure test will also be carried out on the existing Ellesborough Road.

What to expect
- Day time closure of Ellesborough Road over two days.
- A diversion route to be signposted.
- Some noise from the works is expected.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
