What we are doing
We need to install monitoring equipment in advance of tunnelling under the Alexandra & Ainsworth Estate. This equipment allows us to carry out surveys to monitor ground movement and make sure movement is within safe limits before, during and after tunnelling in the area. We’ll install 50mm reflective targets near the building exterior of St Johns woods care centre and Rowley Way – Block H. Monitoring targets will be fixed in place using glue and all measurements will be taken at street level.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
