What we are doing
We will install monitoring equipment on 19 August 2026 in advance of tunnelling under the Estate. This equipment allows us to carry out ground movement monitoring before, during and after tunnelling under the area. We’ll fix small reflective targets in place using glue onto the lower building exterior of the Mary Green. All measurements will be taken at street level.
Our survey team will visit for short periods of time to take readings before, during and after tunnelling. During some phases of construction these visits may be daily. The surveys will be ongoing for 12 months after the tunnelling in your local area.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
