What we are doing
A lane closure is required to complete works to the V-ditches which run along Station Road north, on the approach to the new road alignment. The works will include stone lining of the ditch, clearance works, and the placement of topsoil in preparation for future planting.

What to expect
- A lane closure managed by two way lights on Station Road north.
- Access to Melling Farm will be maintained
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
