What we are doing
Works will commence to relocate/landscape two existing stockpiles of material originally removed from the Bromford tunnels. These stockpiles are situated on our worksites south of Water Orton.
What to expect
The commencement of these earthworks may lead to a recurrence of airborne odour from early July 2026. Ahead of, and during the duration of our works, BBV will proactively engage with the community should the odour become noticeable, including keeping residents regularly updated on the actions we are taking to minimise and mitigate this impact.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
