What we are doing
Location
M42 southbound carriageway from junctions 9 to 7a, and the M6 Toll Road southbound from junction T2 to M42.

The road will be closed overnight from 09:00pm to 06:00am each night on the following dates:
• Sunday 3 May
• Monday 4 May
• Tuesday 5 May
• Wednesday 6 May
• Thursday 7 May
What we are doing
Change of layout to motorway lanes. This marks the first phase in the revised traffic management arrangements for the construction of the M42 Triple Box.

Low level of noise from our machinery and a clearly signed diversion route This work is subject to consent with National Highways.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
