What we are doing
We will be carrying out topographical surveys, which will help us to finalise the design of the new railway and road alignments.
Location
A361, Chipping Warden bypass and Byfield Road.
Duration
Overnight, from 8pm to 6am, Tuesday 8 September to Friday 11 September.
If our work is completed early, we will remove the traffic lights.
What to expect
- 2-way temporary lights and a lane closure on a section of the A361.
- Closure of a section of the roundabouts and a section of Byfield Road.
- Night working, involving additional lighting and some noise from our activities.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
