What we are doing
As part of the ongoing civil engineering work for HS2, we’ve temporarily closed some Public Rights of Way (PRoWs) in the area between Radstone, Halse, and Greatworth.
These closures are needed to safely carry out activities such as bulk earthworks and excavations.
Location
The following PRoWs remain closed:
- AX-7
- AX-19
- AN-19
- AN-28
Duration – 30 November 2026
What to expect
- Periods of varying activity, with some quieter times and some busier times.
- Temporary closures of Public Rights of Way (PRoWs). Noise from machinery and equipment being used during the works.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
