The closure and diversion will be in place from Monday 28 September 2026 until Sunday 31 October 2027.
What we are doing
As part of the new Rugby Road Overbridge, we need to divert W129d and W130 footpath across the new section of Rugby Road and back to its original right of way.
What to expect
The diversion for footpath W129d and W130 will be in place. Pedestrians can still safely navigate through the area by using the clearly signposted diverted footpath.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
