What we are doing
For the safety of the public, we are maintaining the closures of some footpaths adjacent to our work sites in the North Chilterns area.
Location
North Chilterns area: Ellesborough, Nash Lee, Wendover, The Lee
Duration
Public Rights of Way (PRoW) closures to continue until 2027-2028
What to expect
PRoWs that are located close to or that cross the construction sites will remain closed with diversions where possible.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
