What we are doing
As we carry out the Rugby Road new alignment works, we will need to close a short section of PRoW W130b, to ensure users safety. Once the new alignment is complete, pedestrians will be able to cross the road and use the footway over the new Rugby Road Overbridge. The closure will be in place from 1 September to 28 September 2026 with no diversion.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
