What we are doing
Completing final utility commissioning connection in collaboration with Thames Water.
Location
A4421 and old Buckingham Road, between Newton Purcell and Barton Hartshorn.
Duration
A4421 and Buckingham Road road closure:
- Saturday 26 September, 8:00am to Sunday 27 September 2026, 8:00pm
Traffic management: Temporary 2-way traffic lights – 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Until Friday 25 September 2026
What to expect
A small section of the old Buckingham Road and the A4421 will be closed. Daytime temporary traffic lights will be in place following the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
