What we are doing
Construction activities to join the new road bridge over the HS2 railway line into the existing road.
Location
B4451, Kineton Road, Southam
Duration
8am Monday 12 October 2026 to 11.59pm Sunday 8 November 2026, 24 hours a day.
What to expect
- The road closure commencing on Monday 12 October will be continuous, with managed access to the Rugby Club.
- Traffic lights on the roundabout at Lark Road junction.
- Some 24-hour working and weekend working will be required. There may be some additional lighting and noise.
- Following the closure, the new road alignment will be in operation, with associated road sign changes.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
