What we are doing
Completing final utility commissioning connection in collaboration with Thames Water and Vodafone.
Traffic management is in place to complete fencing, topsoil and seeding.

A4421 and old Buckingham Road, between Newton Purcell and Barton Hartshorn.

Road Closures – we are reducing the duration our works as follows:
- Saturday 22 August, 7:00am to Sunday 23 August 2026, 6:00pm
- Saturday 29 August 7:00am to Monday 31 August 2026 5:00am
Traffic management
Temporary 2-way traffic lights – 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Tuesday 1 September to Tuesday 25 September 2026
What to expect
A small section of the old Buckingham Road and the A4421 will be closed. Daytime temporary traffic lights will be in place following the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
