What we are doing
In order to complete Calvert Road overbridge and open it to the public, we need to tie-in to the existing highway at the eastern-end of the temporary link road. The temporary link road, connecting Calvert to the Claydon’s, will be closed indefinitely from 20 July and demolished. Calvert green overbridge and highway is planned to open to traffic on 17 August 2026.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
