What we are doing
Working with West Northamptonshire Council, we will be installing two passing bays and resurfacing the road.
Location
The section of Claydon Road past Spella House, Upper Boddington.
Duration
Monday 10 August to Monday 14 September 2026, 24 hours a day
Lane closure with traffic lights at the junction of Warwick Road and Banbury Road: Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August, daytime.

What to expect
- Workforce and machinery in the road.
- Access will be maintained to Spella House from Banbury Road.
- The road will remain as a one-way system until the Banbury Road bridge is open. This is expected to be by Autumn 2027.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
