What we are doing
We are completing HS2 works involving vegetation clearance, excavation, drainage and road construction.

Culworth Road, Chipping Warden
Duration
A section of Culworth Road in the vicinity of the HS2 railway will be closed from Monday 13 July 2026.
What to expect
- Construction activity involving heavy plant and machinery near Culworth Road.
- Construction related noise, vibration and dust which will be managed to minimise community impact.
- Change to highway arrangement with the formation of a new cul-de-sac road layout.
- Change to Public Right of Way AE28 and new bridleway layout.
- The road will not reopen to the public once we have completed our works on the HS2 railway project.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
