What we are doing
Excavation of a 1500m section of the road and verge to install a new water supply and high voltage electric main which are required for future railway operations.
Works include; installing new utility ducts, pipework, cabling and connecting to the existing network.

What to expect
- A section of Lawn Hill road will be closed to enable essential utilities works.
- Access to the Berks Bucks and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) reserve at Finemere Wood will be maintained from the Quainton direction.
- Works involve varied activities with both quiet and busy periods.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
