What we are doing
Work will involve the installation of a scaffold platform on the pier situated next to Gilson Road, in preparation for the Water Orton Viaduct construction.
What to expect
• Low level of noise from our machinery and a clearly signed diversion route
• Pedestrian and cycle access maintained throughout
• Bus routes diverted accordingly
• Access to Gilson Hamet and Gilson Drive from A446 Lichfield Road only
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
