From Monday 3 August to 7 August 2026 there will be a road closure with diversion and overnight temporary traffic lights in place between 8am – 6pm. During this time, a section of Ridgeway Lane, between Grand Union Canal and Welsh Road, will be closed.
What we are doing
We will be constructing an access to our working area.
What to expect
Access for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained but may be limited at times. There will be a fully signed posted diversion route in place.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
