Duration
Ridgeway Lane will be closed from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August 2026. The closure will be in place 24/7.
What we are doing
We will be installing the parapets on Longhole Viaduct and constructing an access to our working area.
What to expect
There will be increased construction activity and no through access for pedestrians and cyclists on a section of Ridgeway Lane between Grand Union Canal and Welsh Road. It is not possible to provide a diversion route during the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
