The road closures will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from Monday 3 August to Sunday 30 August 2026
What we are doing
We will be constructing the new roundabout at Stoneleigh Road and beginning the tie in work to the existing road, creating a new entrance at Stoneleigh Park, moving and connecting multiple utilities and realigning the Stareton Lane junction. We will be working 24/7 during these phases.
What to expect
Access to properties will be maintained, the entrance to Stoneleigh Park will be via temporary access from the Stoneleigh village side of the closure. It is not possible to provide a safe pedestrian or cycle route through the works. A fully signed road diversion will be in place.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
