What we are doing
We will be switching the contraflow from the northbound carriageway onto the southbound carriageway of the new A452. The switch is required so we can complete highway realignment works and the new roundabout before the road opens fully.
What to expect
A 30mph speed restriction will be in place. Motorists will experience some disruption to travel times. Access / egress for the Lincoln Farm Truck Stop and Old Marsh Lane will be provided via a temporary junction with 3-way traffic lights on the existing northbound carriageway. Access / egress points to Mercote Mill Farm and Marsh Farm ‘The Nook’ will be fully signposted on the A452. Temporary closures may be required as we switch the traffic, please see overleaf.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
