What we are doing
Location
B4102 Meriden Road, Solihull, at the junction with Patrick Farm
Duration
We will close Meriden Road overnight between:
Tuesday 26 May and Friday 29 May 2026
Monday 1 June and Friday 5 June 2026
Monday 8 June and Friday 12 June.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
What we are doing
We will be installing the parapets on the viaduct over the carriageway. The closure is required so that we can complete our work safely.
What to expect
A fully signposted diversion route will be in place throughout the closure. You will experience some disruption to your travel times. Please plan ahead to avoid delays to your journey. For safety reasons there will be no access for pedestrians and cyclists during the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
