A38 southbound exit slip: Five overnight closures 9pm to 6am Sunday 23 August to Thursday 27 August 2026 (inclusive) A38 northbound: One overnight closure 9pm to 6am Monday 1 September 2026 A38 southbound: One overnight closure 9pm to 6am Tuesday 2 September 2026

What we are doing
We will be undertaking work on the off slip permanent barrier, installing signage and pavement investigation works. These works are subject to consent.

What to expect
Some low-level noise may be generated in the area during working hours.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
