What we are doing
Location
A38 southbound carriageway from Hilliard’s Cross to Swinfen Interchange and the southbound slip road at Streethay.
Duration
Nine overnight closures on the A38 southbound carriageways from Monday 12 October to Thursday 22 October 9pm to 5am
(weeknights only inclusive).
Five overnight closures on the southbound slip road at Streethay from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October 9pm to 5am
(inclusive).
What we are doing
We are undertaking works on the southbound carriageway to complete emergency drainage improvements, install new kerbs and signage, and carrying out pavement investigation works. These works are subject to consent.
What to expect
Some low-level noise may be generated during working hours. A signed diversion route will be in place throughout the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
