What we are doing
We are continuing work on the drainage system in the area, which includes installing concrete ditches and channel units to improve water flow and management. Additionally, we’ll be carrying out inspection and cleaning of drainage pipes

- Saturday 19 September, 7am to Sunday 20 September 2026, 6pm –
- Friday 25 September, 8:00pm to Monday 28 September 2026, 5:30am
Contingency weekend:
- Friday 2 October to Monday 5 October 2026
What to expect
Weekend road closure.
Please allow extra travel time and expect delays.
We will aim to remove traffic management when safe to do so. When traffic management is in place, please allow extra journey time and expect delays.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
